Virtualization
What is Virtualization?
Virtualization is a technology that allows us get the full value out of our server infrastructure by allowing us run multiple “virtual” processes on a single piece of hardware each in its own memory space.
How does this help me with my IT?
As you know Linux, Windows servers/Operating systems never use all the resources available to them. So you have 2 or more servers running at about 5-20% load. What “virtualization” does is takes the unused resources and drops another Linux or Windows operating system into the free space. Therefore the expenditure on new hardware is greatly reduced.

Wide Area File Services (WAFS) refer to technologies that enable the consolidation of file servers from remote sites.

With Wide area Data Services (WDS) you get more than file access acceleration, you get Data acceleration. This accelerates applications such as Exchange, Lotus Notes, FTP, WWW, backup services and bit level replication which enables the consolidation of your network systems
Disaster Recovery
Using a Forge appliance we can virtualize any server(s) and its data to a remote location whether it is in a datacentre or in another part of your existing building.
This replicates the server and its data from the physical server to the appliance in regular intervals. In the event of a disaster, this appliance enables itself as the physical server and work can continue while the physical server’s problems are repaired.
The appliance can also be moved to another location if the site has been damaged and it is necessary to operate from a temporary location.
The appliance can support up to 25 workloads(servers) and test DR’s can be run without interfering with the production environment therefore reducing the cost of trial runs etc.VoIP

This phone system allows the latest technologies to be used in your network infrastructure. The system caters for analogue, digital and IP handsets.
